Job summary

A governmental defense organization is seeking an Air Reserve Technician to manage personnel functions for the unit commander. In this role, you will analyze manpower status and personnel requirements, recommend initiatives to enhance combat mission readiness, and ensure compliance with operational standards. The position requires U.S. Citizenship and eligibility for Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) Access. Additional responsibilities may include working outside regular hours and maintaining current certifications.

The primary purpose of this position is to serve as an Air Reserve Technician (ART), manage the personnel functions the unit commander. Primary purpose continued in duties section.

Duties

PRIMARY PURPOSE CONTINUED: Serves as the Commander's personnel subject matter expert who analyzes the manpower status and personnel requirements of the unit in order develop, recommend and carry out human resource management initiatives with direct impacts to the unit's combat mission readiness and capability to execute Air Force Distributed Common Ground System operations in support of Air Force Expeditionary and Joint Combatant Commanders.

Requirements
  • U.S. Citizenship Required
  • All new DCIPS employees are required to complete a two-year DCIPS trial period.
  • The incumbent must be eligible for Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) Access.
  • If authorized, PCS will be paid IAW JTR and AF Regulations. If receiving an authorized PCS, you may be subject to completing/signing a CONUS agreement. More information on PCS requirements, may be found at: https://afciviliancareers.com/regulatory/
  • This position is subject to provisions of the DoD Priority Placement Program
  • Must be registered for Selective Service, see Legal and Regulatory Guide
  • Employee may be required to work other than normal duty hours, to include evenings, weekends and/or holidays

  • Employee must maintain current certifications
