What awaits you:
- Administer the collective agreement, including grievance handling, interpretation, and compliance.
- Gather data and generate reports for corporate KPI presentations.
- Coach and guide management on assigned shifts.
- Handle HR tasks related to employment, recruitment, onboarding, and training.
- Interpret complex contracts and legislation, resolving issues through proper enforcement.
- Conduct workplace investigations and recommend disciplinary actions when appropriate.
- Address employee HR queries and communicate policy updates.
- Manage overtime equalization processes with supervisors and hourly employees.
- Oversee salary onboarding, recruitment, training records, and Textron University.
- Manage benefit administration for salaried employees, including providers and retirement plans.
- Handle short-term disability claims and return-to-work processes.
- Support HR and IATF audits by maintaining accurate information.
- Contribute to revising site-specific policies with input from business leaders.
- Coordinate with partners such as HR team members, legal, vendors, and department leaders.
- Create HR metric reports and presentations (e.g., KPI, attrition, absenteeism, diversity).
- Participate in HR projects like Wellness, recognition, and engagement initiatives.
- Assist in project-based tasks and process improvements.
What you'll need to succeed:
- University Degree in Business, Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Law, or equivalent experience.
- At least 2 years' experience in unionized Labour Relations.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation (e.g., Employment Standards Act, Labour Relations Act, Occupational Health and Safety Act, Workplace Safety and Insurance Act, Public Hospitals Act).
- Experience in workplace investigations, including harassment cases.
- Familiarity with collective agreement administration and bargaining.
- Proficiency in software applications such as Word, Excel, and Microsoft Office suite.
