Position Overview: As the HR and Payroll Administrator you would be responsible for supporting day-to-day human resources operations with a focus on processing payroll, maintaining employee records, and assisting with HR administrative tasks. This role ensures timely and accurate payroll processing, supports compliance with laws, and provides support for HR-related inquiries.

Payroll Administration:

  • Process and administer weekly payroll and remittances in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.
  • Ensure accuracy of payroll entries including new hires, terminations, salary changes, and benefits deductions.
  • Maintain payroll records and support year-end payroll reporting

Human Resources Support:

  • Maintain and update employee records in HR systems and personnel files.
  • Assist with recruitment processes when needed: posting job ads, scheduling interviews, onboarding new hires.
  • Support benefits enrollment and administration.
  • Assist with performance management documentation and training records.

Administrative Duties:

  • Maintain HR documentation, templates, and forms.
  • Assist with employee communications, including distribution of company policies and notices.
  • Support HR team with various projects and employee engagement initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Completed post secondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration, Accounting, or related field preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in payroll and/or HR administration required.
  • Experience using ADP
  • Strong understanding of payroll processes and employment law.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
