Summary and Responsibilities
The HR Generalist works closely with the HR Director in supporting employees and leadership. This role is responsible for independently facilitating daily HR functions as well as General Administrative responsibilities, using a broad knowledge of Human Resources, and working autonomously and efficiently to ensure the end-to-end running of HR projects and operations.
- Keeps records of personnel transactions such as hires, promotions, transfers, pay changes, performance reviews, terminations, and employee statistics in Paycor (HRIS).
- Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments, including anti-harassment training, professional licensure, and compliance training.
- Recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
- Conducts or acquires background checks and employee eligibility verifications.
- Implements new hire orientation and employee recognition programs.
- Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and managers, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
- Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
- Administers leave requests and accommodations under the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), and state/local-specific regulations.
- Responsible for new employee onboarding and offboarding.
- Contributes to the development and implementation of equitable recruitment practices designed to drive diversity and minimize bias, including recruitment protocols, interviewing guidelines, evaluation methods, and training for hiring managers, and provides direction to contract recruiters; ensures hiring managers follow best practices.
- Foster and build employee communities through the All Hands communications, team meetings, and encouraging community involvement.
- Act as a cultural ambassador, embodying the Company culture while recognizing the unique needs of our people within TravelNet Solutions.
- Balance people's needs with business needs. Take a kind and objective approach to employee relations.
- Contribute to continuous process improvement and seamless change management.
- Collaborate with other team members and company resources to determine best practices and provide updates to the process.
Minimum Qualifications
- Requires a Bachelor's degree preferably in Human Resources or equivalent work experience
- 2 to 3 years experience in Human Resources
- 1 to 2 years experience working and supporting a remote workforce
- 1 to 2 years experience with Talent Acquisition
- SHRM-CP or PHR preferred
- Superior verbal and written communication and customer service skills are a must
- Impeccable organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask
- Strong business acumen and demonstrated ability to analyze situations and/or data to present effective solutions
- Ability to work independently to accomplish team goals

Compensation
The typical starting salary range for this position is: $66,000 to $76,000, with eligibility for an additional 10% annual incentive based on company performance. The actual salary offer will consider multiple factors, including skills, experience, education, and location. Please note that the salary reflects the base amount only and does not include total compensation, such as discretionary bonuses and benefits.
