Job summary

A prominent health organization in Winnipeg is seeking a House Medical Officer to provide overnight clinical services for admitted patients. Responsibilities include performing diagnostic investigations and assessing internal medicine patients. Candidates must be eligible for licensure and have current medical liability coverage. Job Description

The Winnipeg Regional Health Authority is seeking motivated House Medical Officer (HMO) in Internal Medicine at Grace Hospital to provide overnight clinical service to admitted patients.

The HMO will be required to perform, order, and interpret diagnostic and therapeutic investigations/interventions. Duties of this position will include regular assessment of admitted IM patients in the medical ward and Emergency Department.

Qualifications
  • Must be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Manitoba
  • Must be eligible for a Medical Staff Appointment.
  • Prior experience preferred.
  • Current CMPA or equivalent medical liability coverage is mandatory.
  • IM, Anesthesia and EM fellows in training, Family Physicians with hospitalist experience, and Royal college certified internists are encouraged to apply
  • Qualified IM residents can also apply to work as resident replacement shifts based on their program regulations
Compensation

As per the HMO Agreement with Doctors Manitoba.
