Compensation & Wellness Perks
  • $50.68 - $55.50 / hour
  • Hourly Premiums available:
    • Continuous shift: $3.50/hr
    • Night shift: $3.50/hr
    • Field: $2.25/hr

Job Description

Major Job Functions

  • Trouble shoot, repair and maintain CAT equipment in either a shop or field environment (possibility of remote locations)
  • Respond to customer needs in a positive, supportive, and timely manner to ensure maximum value for work performed.
  • Diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment to determine extent of repair required
  • Providing support with reference to on-site safety requirements
  • Maintain Finning Customer Service Commitment

**Candidate selection will be in compliance with the terms of the current Collective Agreement**

Specific Skills & Experience
  • Interprovincial Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Certification
  • Clean Drivers’ Abstract (5 yr) required for field roles
  • Demonstrated field troubleshooting skills on the Caterpillar equipment is required for field based positions
  • Strong experience in Electrical, Hydraulic and Emissions systems are considered assets
  • Engine and/or component rebuilding experience is beneficial
  • Transmission or Hydraulic testing experience
  • Previous gas engine and power generation experience wouldbe considered an asset
Important Details
  • A condition of employment may include the ability to obtain Customer Site access (Drug & Alcohol, fitness testing) and wear a respiratorwhere applicable
  • Union Membership: You are required to become a member of the Union associated with this position. This will be effective immediately and will result in union dues being deducted from your pay. The terms and conditions of your employment will be governed by the collective agreement.
