Job description

Full-time Monday – Friday (8:00am – 5:00pm) Saturday (7:00am – 11:00am)

Looking for your next big move? We're on the hunt for experienced Heavy Diesel Mechanic to join our crew. This hands‑on role involves servicing, diagnosing, and repairing a range of vehicles and equipment for both internal fleet and external customers. You'll work on:

  • External customer vehicles
  • Experience working on all heavy diesel vehicles including trucks and small local fleet equipment

Key Duties
  • Inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing diesel engines and mechanical components
  • Performing scheduled maintenance and breakdown repairs
  • Identifying faults and carrying out effective repairs to engines, transmissions, brakes, and hydraulics
  • Reading and interpreting workshop manuals and technical documentation
  • Maintaining accurate service records and ensuring all work meets safety standards
  • Supporting apprentices and contributing to a positive team culture
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and OEM specifications
Key Requirements
  • Certificate III in Heavy Vehicle Mechanics or equivalent trade qualification is required
  • Proven experience in truck, bus, or heavy equipment repair and maintenance
  • Strong diagnostic and fault‑finding skills
