Job description

As a Client Service Associate Director you will lead and grow block of group benefit clients ensuring overall client satisfaction and profitability. In addition, you are day-to-day lead on large, complex client engagements involving strategic design and management of programs in close collaboration with leaders and senior technical counterparts. You drive client strategy and grow client relationships by leveraging your expertise alongside WTW’s experts, innovative solutions and capabilities. You are great at client retention and satisfaction and are developing your ability to identify and close new client business.

The Role
  • Serves as the strategic partner and trusted advisor to large clients in the design and management of their group benefits programs.
  • Leads the client service team and collaborates closely with technical resources and actuaries in the design and delivery of project plans, ensuring progress against established objectives, budgets, timelines, deliverables and quality standards
  • Proactively advises clients and ensures superior client service
  • Demonstrates strong negotiation and relationship management skills to handle difficult conversations in client and vendor situations to optimize activities and outcomes
  • Engages WTW specialist resources and experts locally and globally to solve for client needs and generate new business
  • Materially grows revenue through anticipating client needs, offering new solutions to current clients and effectively scoping and contracting client engagements
  • Serves as the expert in new client pursuits by crafting solutions to meet prospect needs and responding to RFP’s where appropriate
  • Directly manages and/or mentors colleagues to achieve objectives
  • Maintains market presence and enhances WTW’s brand in the marketplace
  • Conducts final review of deliverables to ensure alignment to client objectives, leverage of optimal WTW recommendations, services and solutions, and adherence to WTW professional excellence standards
  • Develops an enhanced understanding of the drivers of H&B revenue, and develops effective engagement pricing, contracting and staffing models to ensure profitability
Qualifications
The Requirements
  • 10+ years’ experience and demonstrated success in the design/management of mid-sized and larger group benefit plans gained in a consulting or brokerage environment
  • Proven ability to generate revenue for existing and new clients
  • Track record of success in managing and growing relationshipsin mid-sized and larger clients
  • An executive presence with polished and well developed communication skills
  • Ability to influence and collaborate with all levels of an organization
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills, particularly in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Life and Health license required within 180 days of joining
  • Availability to travel on as needed basis
  • Relevant experience and/or university degree

Compensation

The base salary compensation range being offered for this role is $110,000-$150,000 CAD per year.
