Locum Hand Therapist (Band 7) - London Bridge Hospital

Job Title: Hand Therapist (Band 7)

Location: London Bridge Hospital at The Shard, SE1 2PR

Band: Band 7

Contract Type: Locum

Hours: 35 hours per week across a shift pattern of 4 or 5 days per week.

Are you an experienced and highly skilled Hand Therapist (Band 7) looking for a locum role in central London?

Key Responsibilities:

• Work within a dedicated Hand Therapy team at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital.
• Provide comprehensive hand therapy services to adults and children with various conditions (trauma, acquired conditions).
• Assess patients, fabricate splints, administer therapeutic modalities, and guide rehabilitation.
• Interpret hand and wrist X-rays for informed treatment decisions.

Skills and experience required:

• Experienced Hand Therapist (equivalent to NHS band 7)
• Physiotherapy or Occupational Therapy degree qualification
• HCPC Registration
• Extensive post graduate training
• Responsible for a specialized hand and wrist caseload comprising of non-surgical and surgical managed patients with traumatic and elective hand/wrist and upper limb injuries
• Extensive experience with splinting, removal of sutures and wound management
