Job Description

Are you ready to lead in the world of opulence, elegance, and excellence? We at Grand Touring Automobiles, are the pinnacle of luxury in the automotive industry, and we are seeking a General Manager. As a General Manager, you will be at the helm of an organization dedicated to delivering the extraordinary.

Key Responsibilities

The General Manager, is responsible for planning organizing, directing, and controlling efficient and effective overall corporate operations, ensuring each department meets or exceeds sales objectives while maximizing profitability, remaining within predetermined budgetary guidelines. They are to ensure all staff members are dedicated to achieving maximum customer satisfaction.

Duties
  • Assisting Sales Management with creating and completing deals
  • Establishes and recommends corporate and departmental budgetary objectives
  • Monitors and analyzes all financial and performance reports
  • Supervises each department
  • Recommends/establishes policies and/or programs to improve efficiencies for attaining increased customer satisfaction and growth, employee productivity and corporate objectives.
  • Oversee the vendor selection/bid process for all related dealership partners and vendors
  • Partner with the Marketing Manager in coordinating events and communications
  • Arranges "in-service" and other training programs to enhance skills and capabilities of all employees
  • Authorizes large purchase requisitions for equipment, services, supplies, etc.
  • Enters into contractual agreement with suppliers on large financial matters/ investments after discussions and approval from Owner Principal
  • Supervises the performance of all contracts and/or agreements, ensuring all conditions are fulfilled
  • Conducts performance reviews
  • Maintains current knowledge of all manufacturers' and competitive programs.
  • Takes Initiative and/or attends meetings with government, corporate legal and financial institutions
  • Attends and remains a member in 'good standing' of appropriate Manufacturer's dealership organizations, community business organizations, etc.
  • Maintains current knowledge of Canadian legislation as it affects the auto industry or dealership directly
Required Skills
  • 7-10 years of experience in automotive or luxury consumer product goods
  • Only EXPERIENCED automotive management professionals with Luxury experience will be considered. (No consideration will be given to anyone without current automotive Management experience.)
  • Experience in Automotive Sales is required
  • Hands on experience working with executive management, corporate communications and employee/dealer communications
  • Strong work ethic with integrity beyond reproach, impeccable credentials, good verbal and written communication skills, commitment to learn, train, lead and work as a team to achieve desired results.
  • Process driven, have outstanding attention to detail and a high sense of urgency
  • Candidates MUST possess a working knowledge of One Eighty and CDK software and be able to self-manage their day to day work plan activities.
  • Demonstrate ability to lead direct reports and vendors and manage high impact/high corporate visibility programs
  • Ability to act as public spokesperson and subject matter expert on areas of direct responsibility
  • In-depth understanding of automotive industry issues
  • 40% travel domestic and international, including occasional weekend travel and for work events, meetings and training.
