Position Note:

This General Laborer role is a temporary full‑time position with the potential to transition into a permanent full‑time role based on performance and company needs.

Position Summary:

The General Laborer is responsible for performing a variety of physical tasks within a manufacturing facility and operating various hand and power tools. This role involves the efficient assembly of products, maintaining a clean work area, and adhering to safety protocols to support production needs. The General Laborer plays a vital role in ensuring that production targets are met and quality standards are upheld.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assemble components and products using bolts, screws, clips, welding, soldering, and other fastening methods.
  • Operate and monitor assembly and production equipment.
  • Inspect products for defects, mark and record issues, and report findings to supervisors.
  • Prepare and maintain work areas, ensuring they are clean and free from hazards.
  • Grind, scrape, sand, and polish surfaces using appropriate abrasive tools and machines.
  • Load, unload, and distribute building materials, machinery, and tools to designated areas as per project specifications.
  • Ensure compliance with industry safety standards and maintain current safety certifications.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support production activities.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • Strong commitment to quality and safety practices.
  • Ability to determine the correct tools and equipment for job tasks.
  • Capacity to work independently and manage daily activities according to the work schedule.
  • Physical capability to lift heavy objects, stand, walk for extended periods, and perform strenuous tasks.
Physical Requirements:
  • Regularly required to stand, walk, bend, and lift heavy objects.
  • Comfortable working in an environment with varying temperatures and moderate noise levels.
