The Friendly Visiting program provides friendship and companionship to housebound and socially isolated individuals.

What You’ll Be Doing

Friendly Visiting volunteers meet with isolated clients in their homes, providing friendship and companionship.

Duties Include

• Develop a friendly, supportive relationship with a client
• Arrange weekly or bi‑weekly 1‑3 hour visits in‑person
• Keep the Program Coordinator informed regarding your availability and immediately report any changes, problems, or concerns you may have
• Maintain privacy and confidentiality of all client related information
• Commit to a minimum 4‑month engagement

Sample Activities May Include

• Conversing
• Playing various games
• Crafts
• A shared hobby or interest
• Social outing (e.g., a walk or visit to a park)
