A consulting firm is seeking a Payroll Consultant to manage payroll processes, ensure compliance with taxation regulations, and assist in training staff. Responsibilities

• Experience with updated taxation regulations.
• Run payroll end-to-end on a weekly or bi-weekly basis.
• Contribute to training payroll staff and HR resources.
• Prepare and execute pay orders through electronic systems.
• Administer statements of payment to personnel.
• Process taxes and payment of employee benefits.
• Track hour rates and compensation benefit rates.
• Address payroll-related issues from employees.
• Prepare reports for management and finance.

Skills

Experience with provincial and federal taxation regulations

Ability to run payroll end-to-end

Training new payroll staff

Knowledge of electronic pay systems

Ability to address payroll issues

The Payroll Consultant may be responsible for but is not limited to;

• Experience with updated and new provincial and federal taxation regulations.
• Ability to run payroll end-to-end, weekly and or bi-weekly.
• Actively contribute to training new payroll manager, payroll administrative assistants and HR resources (new, or in place).
• Prepare and execute pay orders through an electronic system or distribute paychecks.
• Administer statements of payment to personnel either electronically or on paper.
• Process taxes and payment of employee benefits.
• Keep track of hour rates, wages, compensation benefit rates, new hire information etc.
• Address issues and questions regarding payroll from employees and superiors.
• Prepare reports for upper management, finance department etc.
