Job description

The Speech Language Pathology Supervisor is responsible for supervising the delivery of assessment, consultation, and rehabilitation services for individuals with communication and / or swallowing disorders.

Qualifications

  • A Masters Degree in Speech Language Pathology or Communication Disorders.
  • Must be registered and a member in good standing with the New Brunswick Association of Speech Language Pathologists and Audiologists and eligible for membership with the Speech Language Pathologists and Audiology Canada (SAC).
  • Must have three years of related experience.
  • Ability to attend work on a regular basis.
  • Ability to perform the duties of the position.

Key Responsibilities

The Speech Language Pathology Supervisor is responsible for :

  • Assigning, overseeing, reviewing, and evaluating service delivery.
  • Planning, directing, and evaluating therapy programs and services.
  • Providing staff orientation and coordinating staff development programs.
  • Serving as a clinical practice leader.
  • Developing and / or ensuring compliance with standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Coordinating or participating in student placements.
  • Performing the work of a speech-language pathologist.
