Job Title: Forklift Lead

Job Description

As a Forklift Lead, you will work with a company as a forklift operator and warehouse associate serving a diverse range of customers. Your primary responsibility will be to manage order picking and loading for customer arrivals. You will start your day by hand-bombing and operating reach and sit-down forklifts to fulfill orders. Your role will involve leading a team of 8 forklift operators, ensuring efficient workflow in both indoor and outdoor settings.

Responsibilities

• Pick and load customer orders as a priority task.
• Operate reach and sit-down forklifts for order fulfillment.
• Hand-bomb items and lift products up to 50 lbs independently, and up to 80 lbs with a partner.
• Use RF scanners to accurately pick orders.
• Unload and store incoming supplies and prepare picks for pre-ordered items.
• Lead and manage a team of 8 forklift operators.
• Interact with customers and provide excellent customer service.

Essential Skills

• Forklift operation experience, including reach and sit-down forklifts.
• One year of experience in a narrow warehouse environment.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs continuously.
• Experience in customer service.
• Counterbalance experience with propane/electric forklifts.
• AB certification for stand-up (reach and dockstocker) and sit-down forklifts.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with RF scan guns.

Work Environment

This is a physical role requiring the ability to lift heavy items. The work schedule generally runs from Monday to Friday, with shifts between 6 am and 5 pm. Reliable transportation is preferred due to the facility's distance from public transit.
