Brightwork have an excellent opportunity for a Food Technologist to join our manufacturing client at their site in South Lanarkshire, working on a permanent basis with immediate start available.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join an award-winning baked goods manufacturer where tradition meets innovation. This position is working Monday to Friday, on-site in South Lanarkshire.

The Role - Food Technologist
  • Playing a key role in the HACCP team, driving food safety excellence
  • Supporting food safety & quality culture across the site
  • Analysing performance data and leading improvements
  • Managing quality systems: supplier approval, audits, product specifications
  • Coordinating technical services like lab testing and equipment calibration
  • Championing product quality standards and customer satisfaction
  • Supporting production trials and new product development
The successful candidate
  • Experience in a similar role (ideally within baked goods)
  • HNC/HND in Food Technology or a related subject
  • HACCP Level 2, Internal Auditor training & Intermediate Food Hygiene
  • Strong knowledge of food safety & quality systems
  • Excellent IT, communication, and organisational skills
