Job summary

A local dining establishment in Coquitlam is seeking a full-time Food Services Manager to oversee daily operations and manage staff. The ideal candidate must have at least 3 years of experience in the food service industry, including supervisory roles. Kim’s BBQ House is located at #15-228 Schoolhouse Street, Coquitlam, BC V3K 6V7. We are currently looking for permanent, full time Food Services Managers.

Wages: CAD$28.00-37.00/hour (depending on skills & experiences)

Types: Full-time, Permanent (various shifts, including evening, nights, weekend openings & closing, and holidays)

Working hours: 30- 40 hours/week

Benefits: 4% of vacation pay

Job Duties:
  • Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate the daily operations
  • Plan and control budget and inventory
  • Determine type of foods to be offered and implement operational procedures
  • Monitor revenues and modify procedures and prices
  • Negotiate arrangements with suppliers for food and other supplies
  • Review and adjust staff schedule when necessary
  • Recruit and oversee staff training, conduct performance reviews
  • Resolve customer complaints and ensure provincial regulations are followed
  • Hold staff meetings, resolve staff complaints and suggestions
  • Negotiate with clients for catering or use of restaurant for events
  • Manage catering, events, advertisements
Job Requirements:
  • Completion of secondary school;
  • Minimum 3 years work experience in the food service sector including supervisory experience required.
  • Completion of a college or other program related to hospitality or food and beverage service management an asset
