A local restaurant in Southwestern Ontario is seeking a Food Service Supervisor to oversee food preparation activities. You will train staff and ensure customer satisfaction by addressing complaints. Ideal candidates will have a secondary school diploma and 1-2 years of experience in food service. This permanent full-time position offers $21.50/hour for 35-40 hours weekly.
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Work setting: Restaurant. Tasks: Supervise and co-ordinate activities of staff who prepare and portion food. Train staff in job duties, sanitation and safety procedures. Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation. Address customers' complaints or concerns. Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales and wastage. Supervision: 5-10 people.
Work conditions and physical capabilities: Work under pressure. Combination of sitting, standing, walking. Physically demanding. Personal suitability: Efficient interpersonal skills. Flexibility. Team player. Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years.
