Food Safety and Compliance Specialist

Our Food Safety & Compliance Specialists assist hotel, restaurant, and grocery clients in ensuring brand standards, food quality, and friendly service.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct assessments to ensure compliance with regulatory, industry, and proprietary standards.
  • Observe food preparation and cooking to ensure safety, health, and sanitation standards are met.
  • Partner with clients to identify root causes of discrepancies and develop corrective action plans.
  • Teach and coach clients on creating safer, healthier workplaces for staff and customers.
  • Travel up to 50% of the time by car and / or plane, including approximately 10 overnight stays per month.
Requirements
  • Valid full driver’s license and ability to pass an MVR check.
  • 1 to 5 years of experience in food service, restaurant, or grocery operations and customer service.
  • Strong technical knowledge of food safety preferred.
  • ServSafe and / or CP-FS Certification(s) is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Hospitality Management, or related field preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% via car and / or plane.
  • Must pass pre-employment background screening.
  • Flexible work schedule including weekends to accommodate personal commitments.
  • Ability to lift 10 lbs chest high, and perform stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching.
  • Excellent listening, communication, organization, and time management skills.
  • Ability to influence others tactfully and provide constructive feedback positively.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and eager to learn.
