Position Summary

The Admin Assistant is a member of the Food & Beverage Team, responsible for administrative support and to ensure that matters are attended to in an effective and efficient manner. This position is the face of the Food & Beverage Team. This is a great opportunity for someone looking for a long‑term career opportunity with growth potential.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:

  • Reception: answers phones and emails.
  • Provide administrative support services to the Food & Beverage team including data entry, payroll, reports, invoicing, client requests and other general administrative duties.
  • Employee follow up on missed shifts, required training, documentation.
  • Create and maintain business documents using Word, Excel, and Publisher.
  • Maintain customer and event database.
  • Order office supplies and maintain equipment.
  • Deliver the highest standards of customer service and excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will be reliable, highly motivated, proactive, energetic and have the ability to multi‑task. He/she will have excellent telephone decorum and a positive customer service attitude as well as the following:

  • Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
  • Able to work independently and within a team environment.
  • At least two years of office experience.
  • At least one year of hospitality experience, preferably in food and beverage.
  • Able to deal with a fast‑paced environment and tight deadlines.
  • Intermediate to expert level computer skills in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher and Outlook.
  • Minimum typing speed of 45 words per minute.
  • Experience with Ungerboeck is an asset.
  • Experience with UKG is an asset.
  • Experience dealing with a high volume of email and phone calls is an asset.
  • A college diploma or university degree would be an asset.
