Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced Fitness Analyst for our Kitsilano location in Vancouver, BC. This is a high-level role requiring advanced expertise in exercise science, performance analytics, and clinical-style assessments. The Fitness Analyst is responsible for collecting, analyzing, and translating complex health and performance data into individualized strategies. Working within the IFH framework, this role connects evidence-based assessment with practical strength and conditioning interventions to optimize long-term member outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Administer and interpret advanced health and performance assessments, including:
  • Body composition and metabolic profiling
  • Functional movement and postural evaluations
  • Muscle strength and neuromuscular testing
  • VO2 max and resting metabolic rate testing
  • Clinical data integration: blood biomarkers, genetic markers, gut health metrics
  • Develop comprehensive reports that translate raw data into actionable fitness and wellness strategies
  • Design and oversee individualized training programs, ensuring alignment with medical and performance findings
  • Monitor member progress over time, adjusting programming to reflect evolving goals and health markers
  • Collaborate with physicians, naturopaths, dietitians, paramedical providers, and personal trainers to provide coordinated, interdisciplinary care
  • Mentor and train staff in assessment methodologies, data interpretation, and evidence-based practice
  • Lead workshops to embed health analytics into day-to-day operations
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of emerging technologies and research in sports science, health analytics, and applied physiology
  • Ensure compliance with professional, clinical, and safety standards
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology, Health Sciences, Data Science, or a related discipline (Master’s degree in Sports Physiology, Strength & Conditioning, Exercise Science or similar related field preferred)
  • Demonstrated expertise in assessment tools, performance testing, and health data analytics
  • Proven ability to interpret complex data and deliver clear, evidence-based recommendations
  • Strong leadership, communication, and mentoring skills
Experience
  • Minimum 2 years of applied experience in health assessment, analytics, or performance testing (clinical or high-performance environments preferred)
  • Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary health teams
  • Background in athlete development, clinical health monitoring, or applied sport science is considered an asset
Work Environment
  • The Fitness Analyst role is embedded within a high-performance, team-based environment that integrates health and fitness professionals under the IFH model. The position requires extended periods of standing (8+ hours) and the ability to lift weights between 5–45+ lbs.
Compensation & Benefits
  • Hourly wage: $37-45 per hour
  • Per-assessment pay: $35–$70
