We are looking for a qualified First Cook to join our team.

Hourly Wage: C$28.00 ~ C$37.00 (depending on a skill set)

Working Hours: 30-35 hours per week

Vacation: 4% of gross salary for vacation pay or 10 days paid vacation per year

Job Duties:

• Prepare and make Japanese dishes from menu, such as sushi rolls, nigiri sushi, teriyaki, donburi, etc.
• Manage kitchen operations
• Complete presentation of dishes and decoration
• Make adjustment to food items to accommodate customers with dietary restrictions Plan menus and estimate food requirements
• Oversee and train kitchen helpers and junior cooks
• Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment, and order supplies
• Ensure the standards of food safety and sanitation are adhered
• Maintain work areas clean

Job Requirements:

• Education: Completion of secondary school
• Experience: A minimum of 2 years of commercial cooking experience
• Language: English
