The Fire Ranger/Fire Fighter position is located in Meaford at the 4th Canadian Division Training Centre and typically reports directly to the Fire Chief. Their primary focus is carrying out fire duties in accordance with the CFFM’s Fire Prevention Program and Fire Marshal’s Directives.

Individuals who successfully complete the interview process and do not already hold a valid security clearance will be sponsored for Secret Security Clearance. To obtain a Secret Security Clearance from the Government of Canada, applicants must undergo a comprehensive 10‑year background check. This includes financial and criminal record checks, as well as a security assessment conducted by the Canadian Security Intelligence Service (CSIS). Applicants will be required to provide detailed information covering the past 10 years, including employment, education, and residency history. For this reason, continuous residency in Canada for the last 10 years is a mandatory requirement.
