About Our Client

Our client is sourcing a Financial Analyst, Trend for a 15-month contract.


About the Opportunity

Trade Spend Oversight:



  • Maintain and update trade accruals within internal systems and ensure timely processing of trade-related deductions.

  • Perform ongoing reviews of trade programs and deduction balances using SAP TPM to ensure financial accuracy.

  • Support the month-end close by validating trade spend entries and ensuring completeness.


Financial Analysis & Reporting:



  • Complete monthly variance reviews against forecast, budget, and prior periods, preparing clear and insightful explanations for deviations.

  • Apply advanced Excel capabilities to resolve data issues, build analysis, and support decision‑making.

  • Gather and consolidate data from SAP TPM, SAP‑BW, and other reporting tools to generate meaningful reporting packages.

  • Participate in quarterly business reviews with the sales organization to present and discuss trade‑related financial performance.


Cross‑Functional Collaboration:



  • Act as a finance partner to various internal teams, proactively building relationships and providing support on trade spend topics.

  • Coordinate with deduction analysts and Accounts Receivable to keep deduction levels aligned with expectations.

  • Serve as a primary contact for external auditors on all trade spend matters during year‑end reviews.


Additional Duties:>


  • Manage ad‑hoc analysis requests related to trade spending or promotional performance.

  • Contribute to process improvements and system enhancements within the trade spend workflow.


About You


  • 3‑5 years of experience in finance, accounting, trade spending, or pricing.

  • Working knowledge of SAP TPM and SAP‑BW is strongly preferred.

  • High proficiency in Excel, including data analysis and complex modeling.

  • Strong attention to detail with a drive for continuous improvement.

  • Able to work independently, take initiative, and juggle multiple priorities.

  • Degree in Accounting or Finance, or a recognized accounting designation, is an advantage.

  • Experience in the CPG sector is beneficial.

  • Comfortable working in a collaborative team environment.

  • Background in trade spend management or variance analysis is considered an asset.
