Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Prepare monthly journal entries under tight month-end deadlines.
  • Aid in backup for A/P processing.
  • Analyze assigned financial accounts and prepare account reconciliations.
  • Participate in various projects and process improvement initiatives.
  • Prepare supplementary schedules and analysis for financial statements.

Summary:

As the Financial Analyst, Accounting you will be part of team who ensures completeness, accuracy, and adherence to internal controls in supporting SE Canada’s business unit.

Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of monthly journal entries under tight month-end deadlines
  • Aid in backup needed for A/P processing
  • Analysis of assigned financial accounts and preparation of comprehensive I/S and B/S account reconciliations
  • Participate in various projects, and process improvement initiatives
  • Ad-hoc reporting / analysis as required
  • Provide support for the interim and year end audits
  • Prepare selected supplementary schedules and analysis for financial statements
  • Partner with the Centres to understand transactions within the CRM system
  • Flexible in adapting to changing priorities.

Qualifications:

  • Accounting/Finance/Business Degree and completed or working towards a professional accounting designation preferably a CPA;
  • Minimum of 3-5 years’ of business experience including financial analysis and reporting;
  • Proficiency with MS Office, specifically Word, Excel and Power Point;
  • Good written and verbal skills and ability to interact with all levels of management;
  • A self-starter with strong organizational skills, attention to detail and a focus on meeting deadlines and executing;
  • Able to work well under pressure
  • Good analytical skills and ability to prioritize.
