Responsibilities

  • Maintain standard costing systems for manufactured products.
  • Analyze manufacturing and costing variances with operations.
  • Prepare and analyze monthly cost reports and inventory valuations.
  • Conduct audits of BOMs, routings, and inventory.
  • Monitor changes in costs and margin impacts.
  • Maintain fixed asset subledger and prepare fixed asset reports.
  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting for CapEx and depreciation.
Job description
Responsibilities
  • Responsible for maintaining standard costing systems for all manufactured products
  • Responsible for analyzing manufacturing and costing variances (material, labor, and overhead) and work with operations to resolve discrepancies
  • Prepare and analyze monthly cost reports, including inventory valuation, production costs, and margin analysis
  • Conduct regular audits of BOMs, routings, and inventory to ensure data accuracy
  • Responsible for the annual standard cost roll and support annual budgeting and forecasting processes
  • Responsible for monitoring and tracking changes in raw material, labor, and overhead costs and margin impacts
  • Maintain the fixed asset subledger, ensuring accurate and timely recording of acquisitions, transfers, disposals, and depreciation
  • Monitor and track all capital projects, coordinating with project teams to ensure proper capitalization and ensure compliance with internal controls, company capitalization policies
  • Prepare and review monthly fixed asset reports, depreciation schedules, and roll-forwards
  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting for capital expenditures (CapEx) and depreciation expenses
  • Prepare and enter month-end journal entries and assist in month end close and preparation of month end reporting package
  • Complete account reconciliations as assigned
  • Assist in reviewing the requisition log
  • Assist in the preparation of year-end audit package
  • Assist in the preparation of the annual budget and quarterly forecasts
  • Follow all departmental and general procedures where applicable
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the General Manager and/or Department Manager
  • Abide by all company safety rules, responsibilities, policies, and procedures including the legislative requirements of the OHSA
  • Work in compliance and conform to the Environment and ISO 14001 and IATF 16949 standards
  • Adopt and practice Kaizen principles; participate in Kaizen and GEAR activities
