We are seeking a Financial Advisor to join our Wealth & Advisory Services team at our Selkirk Branch.

The Financial Advisor will manage and grow an assigned portfolio of Aviso Wealth investors, offering a full suite of NEI Investment solutions and delivering customized financial advice. The role involves creating tailored financial strategies to meet members' unique financial journeys, providing meaningful experiences through video and in-person meetings. Collaboration with retail branch teams will focus on external asset consolidation and ongoing service delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Utilize a consultative approach and planning tools (e.g., Conquest Planning) to develop investment and retirement plans based on comprehensive member interviews.
  2. Manage and grow an investment portfolio (household investments of $50,000-$350,000), maintaining regular contact, aligning strategies with members' life stages and risk profiles, and facilitating asset consolidation within Cambrian’s wealth management products. Develop external referral sources through networking and marketing, including Salesforce.
  3. Focus on business development by building relationships with retail and digital branch staff to identify members' investment needs, refer portfolios exceeding thresholds to Senior Financial Advisors, and promote digital wealth solutions like Qtrade Guided Portfolio and Qtrade Direct Investing.
  4. Maintain strong product knowledge of NEI asset solutions.
  5. Stay informed on economic, market, legislative, and product platform changes. Provide expertise tailored to each client’s specific needs and circumstances.
  6. Ensure delivery of excellent service to members at all contact points.
  7. Support the Vice-President, Wealth & Advisory Services, with tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Mutual fund license in good standing, with IFIC or Canadian Securities Course; CFP or PFP designation or completion within 36 months.
  • Post-secondary business degree, diploma, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of three years’ experience in a financial retail sales environment.
  • Strong understanding of financial planning theories, asset allocation, and financial products.
  • Working knowledge of Salesforce is an asset.
  • Critical thinking skills; ability to analyze and address issues logically.
  • Adaptability to changing priorities.
