A premier global diamond company is seeking an Environment Specialist for their Ekati mine site in Northern Canada. This permanent, full-time position involves primarily fieldwork related to environmental sampling and monitoring, as well as supporting office tasks. Candidates should have a B.Sc. or B.Eng. and 1-3 years of relevant experience, preferably in the mining industry. Reporting to the Senior Environment Specialist and working a two week on and two week off schedule at the Ekati mine site, NT, the Environment Specialist assists with the environmental sampling and monitoring programs at the Ekati Diamond Mine.
The position is primarily field work supporting sampling and monitoring programs for compliance, fisheries and aquatics, air quality, reclamation, and wildlife. Additional supporting office and laboratory work, and equipment maintenance will be required. This is an exciting opportunity to obtain valuable work experience assisting with a diversity of environmental programs.

Additional Information
The Company provides travel to and from the Ekati mine site out of Calgary, Yellowknife, and other northern fly points.
