ENGINEERING DIRECTOR

Working location: Trois Rivieres, Quebec, Canada

Overview

ANDRITZ BONETTI CANADA inc is looking for a Director of Engineering responsible for leading and executing the product development, calculations, and respect of the budget according to the equipment sold.

Responsibilities
  • Partner with other department leaders and management executives to drive and improve product development.
  • Lead, mentor and supervise Draftsman-Designers in the development of the project until customer approval.
  • Analyze strategic projects and prioritize accordingly.
  • Produce general arrangement drawings, fabrication drawings and material lists for approval and fabrication.
  • Design tasks (protocol, calculation, compliance with manufacturing standards).
  • Establish material list for equipment fabrication.
  • Perform some design calculations.
  • Perform dimensional surveys of existing equipment at the customer's site on an occasional basis.
  • Follow health and safety guidelines and procedures.
Qualifications
  • Education: Engineering degree in mechanical or drafting discipline.
  • Experience: 5 years experience in development of products.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and lead a team.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work.
  • Possessing a good work attitude.
  • Excellent interpersonal, collaboration, and presentation skills. A team-based approach to results is required.
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks software.
  • ERP experience is an advantage.
  • Must have strong attention to details.
  • Good planning and organizational skills.
