Responsibilities
  • Contribute to industrial IT, network, and telecom infrastructure design for mining, energy and industrial sectors.
  • Prepare technical deliverables as part of preliminary and detailed engineering design.
  • Assist senior engineers on client site work (survey, pre-commissioning, commissioning, etc) related to network and telecom design.
  • Contribute to project scope development, proposals, cost estimates, and budgets.
  • Identify client needs for new opportunities or ongoing projects.
  • Develop and maintain lasting relationships with clients while meeting their high expectations.
  • Develop your professional network to generate business opportunities.

Qualifications

Overview of certifications and job requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or college diploma in electrical engineering, computer science, telecommunications or another relevant field
  • 1-4 years of experience in Information Technology or another relevant field.
  • Knowledge of networking concepts (OSI, TCP/IP, VLAN, VPN, DNS, DHCP, Spanning Tree, SD-WAN, MPLS, etc.)
  • Experience with wired and/or wireless, LAN, MAN, WAN network architecture.
  • Experience with network equipment (Cisco, Fortinet, HPE, Aruba, Palo Alto, Juniper, etc.)
  • Knowledge of fiber and copper structure cabling.
  • Knowledge of virtualization and storage technologies (HPE, Dell, VMware, Hyper-V, Nutanix, NAS, etc.)
  • Familiarity with Operational Technologies (OT), such as industrial control systems, SCADA, and PLCs.
  • Knowledge of Windows/Linux server administration and Active Directory.
  • Certifications in Network and Cybersecurity (e.g., CCNA, CCNP) and familiarity with IT/OT frameworks and standards (e.g., IEC 62443, IEC 61850)
  • Bilingual (English and French).
