Qualifications

Job description

We are looking to hire anEngineer in Training/Engineering Graduatefor one of our mine sites inTimmins, Ontarioona full-time basis. The schedule for this position is Monday-Friday, 8 hrs/day or 4 on, 3 off, 10hrs/day.


Please note that this role requires relocation to the Timmins area and is not a camp-based position.

Job Responsibilities

As an Engineer in Training/Engineering Graduate, you will follow a rotation through various engineering functions (on surface and underground) that may include:

  • Surveying
  • Ventilation
  • Ground control
  • Longhole planning
  • Development design
  • Scheduling and day-to-day tracking
  • Short-term planning

The role may include time embedded with various underground production crews in order to understand mine production roles first hand.

More About You

The following will be critical to successfully performing this role:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mining Engineering from an accredited University
  • Seeking P.Eng. license with PEO when eligible
  • Comprehensive knowledge of engineering principles, theories, and techniques as they apply to ore body evaluation and underground mine operations
  • Proficiency in mine planning software (Desik.CAD and Deswik.Sched)
  • The applicant must be eligible to work in Canada
