A leading aerospace technology firm in Canada is looking for an experienced Engineer in Flight Sciences to develop advanced models for eVTOL systems. Salary Range: CAD 120,000 – 165,000 gross/year
An experienced Flight Sciences Engineer is sought to develop advanced models and simulations supporting aerodynamic, fluid, and thermal systems for next-generation electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) platforms.
This role involves working across complex and sometimes competing technical requirements to help shape a unique aircraft system. As part of a small, highly technical team, you will have significant opportunity to broaden your skill set and gain exposure to adjacent engineering disciplines.
Develop and maintain aerodynamic, fluid, and thermal models and simulations
Support system-level analysis and performance evaluation across flight regimes
Act as a technical integrator between engineering disciplines and project teams
Apply relevant standards and specifications to all engineering activities
Challenge existing approaches and introduce improvements to engineering quality and efficiency
Ensure rigor, resilience, and continuous improvement in design solutions
Support compliance with regulatory, quality, schedule, and budget requirements
Stay current with advances in flight sciences, modelling techniques, and aerospace technologies
Contribute to continuous process improvements to enhance safety and performance
Serve as an engaged and collaborative member of the engineering team
3+ years of experience in fluid, thermal, or flight sciences roles within aerospace or automotive environments
Experience across multiple phases of the engineering lifecycle
Hands‑on experience with modelling and simulation tools for fluid and thermal systems
Systems engineering exposure is considered an asset
Familiarity with eVTOL certification frameworks (TCCA, FAA, EASA) is desirable
Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills
Ability to work effectively in evolving, multidisciplinary engineering environments
