Overview

Youth Habilitation Quinte Inc.’s Employment Ontario Employment Services Program, known as Career Edge, requires an Employer and Community Liaison for their Career Exploration, Planning and Experience Program (CEPE). This is a part-time permanent position commencing as soon as possible. The Employer and Community Liaison will support the CEPE program through determining quality employment opportunities for youth residing within Quinte West, Lennox & Addington and Hastings & Prince Edward Counties.

What You Are

As an Employer and Community Liaison, you are a part of our Employment Services team and your passion for providing exceptional customer service contributes to guiding your clients to successful outcomes including quality employment opportunities, matching workplace requirements to candidate skills. While networking and marketing our services, you will communicate in an open, helpful, and engaging tone with a focus on empowering each client through the job search process and each employer through the recruitment process.

You enjoy working with people, are organized, and can work effectively with a variety of software programs. This role will have you building employer relations, developing training plans, monitoring placements, working collaboratively across all of our departments, completing data entry, following guidelines and referring clients to community supports and services.

Qualifications
  • Excellent communication skills with demonstrated proficiency in the delivery of services to youth.
  • Expertise in recruitment and placement.
  • Direct experience in marketing and managing budgets.
  • Strong case management skills including entering accurate case notes and maintaining organized files.
  • Effective time management skills to meet timelines and targets by prioritizing tasks.
  • Knowledge of the local labour market and labour legislation.
  • Strong computer knowledge (Microsoft Windows, Outlook, Word, Excel, EOIS-CaMs, various databases).
Qualifications Required
  • College Diploma in a related field is preferred.
  • A valid driver’s licence and vehicle is required.
  • Minimum of two years of marketing/sales experience is preferred.
