Salary Range

Paid based on the salary grid of the Collective Agreement with OECTA according to QECO rating and years of experience.

  • Sacred Heart Catholic School, Batawa — 0.47FTE, Itinerant Arts & Preparation and Planning Time Teacher — Commencing date to be determined
  • St. Martha Catholic School — 0.17FTE, French as a Second Language Teacher — Commencing date to be determined
  • Sacred Heart Catholic School, Wolfe Island — 0.13FTE, Itinerant Arts Teacher — Commencing date to be determined
Qualifications
  • Certificate of Qualification from the Ontario College of Teachers (OCT)
  • Division Specific Qualifications
  • Primary/Junior or Junior/Intermediate and Drama, Music or Arts for IAT positions
  • French as a Second Language, Part 1 for FSL position
Application and Requirements

An Application Package Will Include The Following Documents:

  • Cover Letter with Resume
  • Current Certificate of Qualifications from the Ontario College of Teachers
  • Submission of (current within 1 year) OR a Roman Catholic Baptismal Certificate and a
  • Two professional letters of reference
  • Recent graduates – include University transcript & practice teaching reports (copies only)

As a condition of employment, the successful candidate must provide a Criminal Background Check (CBC) with vulnerable sector screening current within six months of date of hire.

NOTES: This position is open to Occasional Teachers currently employed by Algonquin Lakeshore Catholic District School Board who have completed a minimum of one LTO assignment that was at least four months in duration, and whose last evaluation resulted in a satisfactory rating. In addition to applicants from the school board's occasional teacher roster, a school board may choose, as one of the applicants to be interviewed, a teacher employed as a permanent teacher elsewhere in the province who has applied to the posting. Articles 17.6 and 17.7 of the Collective Agreement apply.
