CDN is a recognized industry leader in the energy services sector. CDN is a full-service provider with expertise in Electrical & Instrumentation maintenance, renewables/solar, major projects, combustion & emissions reduction, and measurement.

Role Details
  • Role: Journeyperson and Apprentice Electricians
  • Location: Calgary and Edmonton. Must be willing to travel up north, if required.
  • Shift: Varies based on project
  • Overtime: Project based
  • Pre-Employment Condition: Pre-employment D&A test required
Responsibilities
  • Adhere to all company environmental, health, and safety policies and procedures.
  • Complete cutting, threading, bending, and assembling rigid, aluminum and conduit systems.
  • Install and maintain EMT and PVC piping systems, batteries, solar panels, voltage regulators, MCC equipment, heat trace, and VFDs.
  • Assist and/or direct interpreting drawings, circuit diagrams, and electrical code specifications to better help execute electrical installation and troubleshooting.
  • Understand and inter-operate the most current Canadian electrical code book and exercise the rules when applicable.
  • Understand and execute basic circuit fundamentals, alternating current circuit properties, heating and cooling systems, magnetic control and switching circuits, three phase systems, transformers, machines, control and switching/PLC, fire alarm systems, red seal programs, industry network, and applications of electronics.
  • Test electrical equipment and components for current, voltage and Ohms.
  • Responsible for all administrative, material ordering, and QAQC documents directly associated with the project at hand.
  • Other duties as required.
Job Requirements
  • Indentured Apprentice or Red Seal Journeyperson Electrician.
  • A valid Class 5 license with a clean driver abstract.
  • Valid H2S, First Aid, Fall Protection, Aerial Work Platform, CSO, and CSTS 09/2020.
  • Experience in the Oil and Gas industry in construction or maintenance is considered an asset.
  • Ability to work in various working conditions ranging from outdoors to indoors in a variety of weather conditions and working from heights as needed.
  • A pre-employment drug and alcohol test is required prior to employment.
