Job description
Overview

AGI Envirotank is a Saskatchewan company who is a leading manufacturer of above and below ground steel storage tanks for both shop built and field erected applications. We are currently looking for a full-time Electrician. This person will be responsible for installing, maintaining, testing, troubleshooting, and repairing industrial electrical equipment and fixtures.

Responsibilities
  • Performing scheduled preventative maintenance, breakdown & repairs as required & making recommendations as to the extent of the repairs required & suggestions for improvements.
  • Diagnosing & troubleshooting machine, hydraulic & pneumatics equipment issues in a timely and safe manner
  • Installing and relocating equipment
  • Coordinating and working with various departments including the welding, warehouse, blasting and production teams to ensure equipment is running appropriately.
  • Providing periodic support to building maintenance needs. (ex: carpentry, electrical, plumbing, etc.)
  • Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, schematics and electrical code specifications to determine layout of industrial electrical equipment installations
  • Install, examine, replace or repair electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, feeders, fiber-optic and coaxial cable assemblies, lighting fixtures and other electrical components
  • Test electrical and electronic equipment and components for continuity, current, voltage and resistance
  • Maintain, repair, install and test switchgear, transformers, switchboard meters, regulators and reactors
  • Maintain, repair, test and install electrical motors, generators, alternators, industrial storage batteries and hydraulic and pneumatic electrical control systems
  • Troubleshoot, maintain and repair industrial, electrical and electronic control systems and other related devices
  • Conduct preventive maintenance programs and keep maintenance records
  • May install, maintain and calibrate industrial instrumentation and related devices.
Experience & Qualifications
  • Preference of 3-5 years experience in similar position & work environment
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve electrical problems independently
  • General preventative maintenance to ensure minimal downtime
  • use the time available to organize and complete work with a given deadline
  • Able to read schematic drawings to repair equipment
  • Able to practice good housekeeping within all work areas
  • Past experience working independently with minimal supervision
  • Knowledge to work safely
  • Strong command of the English language (read, write, speak.)
  • Ability to work on higher elevations (ladders & lifts)
Requirements
  • must have valid Drivers License with clean abstract
  • must be willing to relocate
  • must be a permanent Canadian resident
  • must speak and read English fluently
