Your Opportunity

This full-time role is about making an impact on people\'s lives and the future of clean energy. You will leverage your skills and experience to be part of an innovative team and make a difference for our customers. As an Electrical Tooling Engineer in Lynchburg, VA, you will be part of the proven team in the Installed Base Business Unit. Your work will include:

  • Have a desire to work in a fast paced product development team where our primary customer is our Field Operations group who must successfully implement our products at customer sites. Typical applications are remote controlled machining, welding, Electrical Discharge Machining (EDM), and surface improvement tools. We start with a concept and follow it through fabrication, testing, and its real world usage with an expectation of first time Safety, Quality, and Performance.
  • Design of hardware and software for custom control systems
  • Development of hardware and software technical requirements
  • Design of controls enclosures and cable assemblies utilizing CAD
  • Support controls upgrades and maintenance to achieve reliability improvements
  • Detailed documentation (assembly and drawing packages, wiring diagrams, operating instructions)

What You\'ve Accomplished

You have completed a BS in Electrical Engineering. You may have also obtained an advanced degree in similar fields. You have worked in an engineering role for at least 3 years and are ready to join Framatome and help deliver clean, safe energy and advance nuclear technology.

You may have also acquired the following skills:

  • Electronic circuit design (analog and digital) utilizing OrCAD schematic Capture (or similar)
  • Embedded controls programming experience
  • Programming experience: VB and LabVIEW, additional experience (C#) helpful, but not required
  • Motion control experience
  • Troubleshooting down to the board level of equipment with field experience
  • Comfortable with inter-disciplinary design and collaboration combining mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, electronics, electrical, software, etc.

Your Total Rewards Package

The range of base salary for the position is between $82,000 - $111,000, and may also include annual incentives, performance bonuses and benefits. Please note that the base salary range is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location.
