Education and Prevention Coordinator — Great Canadian Casino Toronto PlaySmart Centre

We are seeking an individual with experience in Community Outreach and/or Social Services to join our team on a full-time basis. Use your empathy and ability to connect with people to build awareness of an incredible program. This role will take place primarily in Great Canadian Casino Toronto, but will require travel to other nearby sites within the region.

The Responsible Gambling Council (RGC) is a leading international authority on responsible gambling—providing insights to industry stakeholders through its research and problem gambling prevention programs, as well as accrediting responsible gambling initiatives offered by gaming companies operating within regulated markets across the globe. RGC operates independently from the gaming industry, allowing it to offer unbiased insights and services related to responsible gambling.

RGC manages and operates OLG’s PlaySmart Centres located at casinos and Charitable Bingo and Gaming centres across Ontario. In these Centres, players can take a break from gambling and learn more about how the games work through interactive game kiosks, videos and literature. Players and those affected by gambling can chat with professionally trained PlaySmart Centre staff, learn answers to gambling questions and get connected with counselling and support professionals if they are experiencing problems with gambling.

In this role you will…
  • Increase awareness of the PlaySmart Centre Program

  • Plan and deliver education through activities and initiatives to support positive play habits
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with Casino staff
  • Record and manage relevant data
