Job summary

A leading tourism company is seeking a Driver with a Class 4 license to provide tours at iconic locations. The ideal candidate will have strong organization skills, a dedication to safety, and a guest-service mindset. Responsibilities include the safe operation of 24-seater buses and conducting vehicle inspections. The role requires effective communication skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Training to become an interpretive expert will be provided.

Qualifications

  • Class 4 license (references required).
  • Experience driving 24-seater buses is an asset.
  • Fluent and articulate in English; able to communicate over two-way radio.

  • Providing guests with a full tour of the local area.
  • Conducting surveys and mechanical pre-trip/post-trip inspections.
  • Responsible for the safe operation of assigned vehicles.

Role & Responsibilities
  • Providing guests with a full tour of the local area.
  • Coordinating guests and tour groups on/off Coaches and/or Ice Explorers.
  • Conducting surveys and mechanical pre‑trip/post‑trip inspections of assigned Coach or Ice Explorer.
  • Responsible for the safe and proper operation, care and upkeep of your daily assigned Coach or Ice Explorer during the operating day, including daily servicing, cleaning of interior/exterior and assisting with exterior cleaning as required.
  • Ensuring windows are kept clear and clean throughout the operating day.
  • Avoiding both physical and mechanical damage to the equipment.
  • Ensuring passengers are not in areas where vehicles are moving and are properly seated during the tour.
  • Safely loading and unloading passengers, remaining at the coach entrance during loading/unloading.
  • Rotating cleaning schedule of the Transfer Bay areas, including washroom area and garbage cleanup.
  • Supporting colleagues and loading staff with additional interpretive information, managing tour groups, departures, arrivals, and loading/unloading of Coaches and Ice Explorers.
  • Communicating with co‑workers and management, forwarding observations and comments in a timely fashion.
  • Upholding the high standard of environmental stewardship expected for all employees.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Class 4 license (references required).
  • Experience driving 24‑seater buses is an asset.

  • Capability to perform manual duties (bend, stoop, squat, stretch) required.
  • Enjoy working outdoors, even in challenging mountain weather conditions.
  • Positive attitude and problem‑solving skills.
  • Humorous, friendly, mature, energetic personality.
  • Commitment to become an interpretive expert and ambassador through a week‑long training program (provided).
  • Mature, dependable, self‑motivated.
  • Comfortable working on your feet for extended periods outdoors.
  • Prepared for all weather types (snow, rain, wind, hail) at all times.
  • Meeting grooming and appearance standards.
  • Consent to a criminal record check.
  • Standard First‑Aid or higher an asset.
