Job Title: Director of Partner Marketing

Location: San Francisco, CA (U.S.-based, Bay Area candidates only)

Salary: $300,000–$337,500 base + equity + benefits

About the Role

As Discord’s first Director of Partner Marketing, you’ll build and lead the partner marketing function from scratch. You’ll be responsible for defining strategy, forging key relationships, and delivering go-to-market campaigns that expand Discord’s reach, particularly in gaming and related verticals. This is a player-coach role — strategic and hands-on — perfect for someone entrepreneurial and deeply familiar with the gaming ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build the Function: Establish frameworks, processes, and best practices for partner marketing.
  • Develop Partnerships: Identify and secure strategic co-marketing relationships (publishers, platforms, tech brands).
  • Go-To-Market Leadership: Create and execute GTM strategies that align with Discord’s brand and business goals.
  • Relationship Management: Be the main liaison between Discord and partner marketing teams.
  • Campaign Execution: Oversee campaign rollout, coordinating with internal stakeholders.
  • Performance Measurement: Define KPIs and report results; optimize based on insights.
  • Cross-Team Collaboration: Work with Product Marketing, Creative, PR, Sales, Community.
  • Industry Awareness: Monitor trends and maintain deep knowledge of the gaming landscape.
