A renewable energy firm located in Guelph is seeking a Director of Finance to oversee financial strategy, manage budgeting processes, and ensure compliance. The ideal candidate will have a degree in finance, CPA designation, and 7+ years in finance management. Green Energy Trading Corporation (GET) is an agribusiness that produces renewable natural gas (RNG) using agriculture organic wastes through anaerobic digesters. GET constructs, operates, maintains and services anaerobic digesters and through its sustainable agriculture program, collects organic wastes from farms as feedstock for the sale of RNG in the market.
The Director of Finance is responsible for GET’s financial strategy, and the direction, oversight and management of finance and accounting, including leading the financial growth strategy, overseeing the budget process, general accounting, reporting, and billing and payment processes, managing compliance reporting and risk mitigation, creating financial models and forecasts, and providing leadership as a member of GET’s executive team.
The ideal candidate lives within 50km of Guelph, Ontario and is experienced in finance, has strong leadership skills, and comfortable working with a team. In addition, this candidate has the following qualifications:
