Key Responsibilities
  • Set the vision and strategic direction for the engineering department, ensuring alignment with broader company goals.
  • Lead the growth and development of a high-performing engineering team, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Work closely with executive leadership and cross-functional teams to support company-wide initiatives, ensuring engineering projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Drive innovation by championing modern engineering practices and sustainable technologies that improve product quality and customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure all engineering work complies with industry codes, safety regulations, and internal quality standards.
  • Support mentorship and career development within the team, and lead continuous improvement efforts to optimize workflows, boost productivity, and enhance operational performance.
Qualifications
  • As the ideal candidate you are P.Eng., Civil or a CET (Certified Engineering Technologist) with 10+ years of progressive engineering experience, including at least 5 years in a senior leadership role. Experience in modular construction, manufacturing, or large-scale building projects is highly desirable.
  • You bring a successful track record of managing multidisciplinary engineering teams and delivering complex projects.
  • You’re a strategic thinker who can align technical efforts with business priorities, and you have a deep understanding of engineering principles, building codes, and design tools like Revit, AutoCAD, or BIM.
  • Exceptional communication and leadership skills are essential, along with a results-oriented mindset and a passion for driving continuous improvement.
