Director of Business Development and Sales – Montreal, QC

We are currently seeking a Director of Business Development and Sales to join our team in Montreal, QC.

Sales Duties
  • Work closely with PAL executives to develop and execute PAL Commercial (e.g., Sales & Marketing) strategic plan
  • Develop and implement sales plans to achieve corporate objectives for all Company products and services
  • Establish, monitor and report on KPIs to determine success in the implementation of our objectives
  • Provide input to sales incentive goals and targets for Sales Manager. Measure and proactively manage the sales manager to assist them in achieving their goals
  • Lead and motivate sales team in their service to existing clients and their pursuit of new clients
  • Maintain strong relationships with key customers and travel agency partners
  • Maintain strong government relations on behalf of PAL with the Quebec government and federal government where applicable
  • Accurately forecast monthly, quarterly and annual Sales targets
  • Prepare and review sales reports to measure performance against goals
  • Communicate effectively with the Vice President, Commercial Operations to develop acceptable proposals and contracts that meet client needs while achieving PAL Airlines’ objectives
  • Work with the Marketing Division to launch and execute sales campaigns and community events
  • Provide guidance and oversight of French language touchpoints with applicable stakeholders to ensure we are meeting client expectations
  • Support business development programs for the aviation division including writing business case proposals for internal review
  • Work with the finance and revenue management teams to evaluate new business opportunities
  • Participate and represent PAL in stakeholder activities, e.g., Boards of Trade, Chambers of Commerce, Rotary Groups, etc.
Business Development
  • Working with the Business Development teams, actively pursue new business opportunities to ensure continued growth across all business lines primarily in Quebec
  • Work with key stakeholders (including clients) to develop product offerings tailored to meet their needs
  • Working with Business Development counterparts in Newfoundland & Labrador on large initiatives/accounts to ensure a seamless customer experience
  • Maintain and grow existing business relationships and contracts
  • Assess operational issues concerning competitiveness, including awareness of industry trends and innovations
  • Work with Operations, Marketing, Revenue Management, Finance etc. to update on, and monitor, strategic opportunities that will grow PAL Airlines in Quebec
  • Liaise with Human Resources to identify opportunities and challenges for personnel in the Quebec market
  • Other duties as assigned
