About the role

Reporting to the Plant Director, the incumbent is responsible for overseeing chocolate product molding operations and food safety, in compliance with Barry Callebaut’s expectations and standards.

Key responsibilities
  • Plan and organize all departmental activities to achieve efficiency objectives while meeting customer needs;
  • Ensure that production complies with FSSC 22000, HACCP, and GMP standards;
  • Ensure that production lines and sanitation-related activities meet established operational efficiency targets and take necessary actions;
  • Directly manage production supervisors;
  • Work collaboratively and synergistically with other departments;
  • Develop your own knowledge and skills, as well as those of your team, to contribute to organizational efficiency;
  • Identify continuous improvement opportunities at all levels: health and safety, productivity, quality, processes, and work methods;
  • Foster a work environment where company values are respected;
  • Act as the primary replacement for the Plant Director when required;
  • Contribute to maintaining product safety by adopting behaviors that meet defined requirements.
About you
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Management Sciences, or another related field;
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in production management within the food industry or in a similar role;
  • Strong planning and organizational skills with in-depth knowledge of production management principles;
  • Ability to work in a highly dynamic environment requiring strong adaptability to change;
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, planning, time management, and prioritization skills;
  • Ability to manage and develop a production team;
  • Bilingual (French and English) to interact with colleagues outside Canada.
