The Faculty of Science offers volunteer roles for high school and university students interested in science and outreach. One standout program is the Dino Lab Volunteer Program, where students help in paleontological prep, conservation techniques, and supporting public engagement in museum-style settings. In addition, there are The Shack volunteer opportunities, including Outreach Coordinator, Administrative Roles, and Project Work (e.g. creating functional hardware prototypes) — enabling students to contribute to STEM education in creative ways.
Other Canadian opportunities related to science outreach are described by the University of Alberta Faculty of Science and related programs.
