The ideal candidate will have a post-secondary degree and hands-on experience in research or industrial environments, particularly with lasers, optics, and electronics. This role of Diagnostics Technician will support operation of diagnostics equipment on General Fusion’s experimental testbeds. The Diagnostics Technician will help assemble, maintain, refurbish, and troubleshoot an assortment of complex optical, electrical, and mechanical apparatus. The position is located on site at General Fusion’s facilities in Richmond, BC, and may require some shift work or flexible hours.
This role requires self-directed work that often is driven by employee initiative. The successful candidate will have the expertise to focus their attention on tasks that add value to the project at hand.
The typical salary range for this position is $70,000 - $84,000. General Fusion considers many factors when determining total compensation, including job-specific or highly specialized knowledge, skills and experience, proficiency, job location and internal equity.
