A municipal government in Ontario seeks a Development Engineering Student to assist with municipal servicing approvals and inspections for development projects. Responsibilities include site inspections, reviewing applications, and responding to public inquiries. Ideal candidates are university or college students enrolled in civil engineering or architectural technology, possess a valid Class G driver's license, and have strong computer skills with engineering software. The position offers $19.36 per hour for a duration of approximately 4 months, starting April 29, 2026.
Reporting to the Project Manager, the incumbent will be expected to assist with the review, approval and acceptance for municipal servicing of proposed developments including but not limited to water, storm and sanitary sewers, roads, sidewalks, drainage and stormwater management.
Employment is conditional upon: attendance at all training sessions, submission of required documentation/certification, adherence to the minimum age requirements and ability to meet the employment term.
At time of application must be enrolled in a post-secondary education institution or institution of higher learning.
Applicants must submit a criminal record check (dated within the last 3 months) from their local police service for approval prior to commencing employment.
Interviews will be held in the month of February 2026.
