A leading publishing group is seeking a Deputy Marketing Director for a 12-month FTC position. This role will oversee the Trade Marketing team and devise the marketing strategy for various commercial and literary works. The ideal candidate will have significant marketing experience, excellent team management skills, and a deep understanding of the commercial publishing market. The position offers a flexible working arrangement with both in-office and homeworking options in London or Sheffield.

The Deputy Marketing Director (12‑month FTC) will cover a maternity leave and oversee the Trade Marketing team, devising and delivering the marketing strategy across our broad range of commercial and literary fiction and non‑fiction. Reporting into the Creative & Marketing Director, you’ll bring energy, leadership, and outstanding team‑management experience to a role that drives excellence and creative spark.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a creative and talented Head of Marketing or Deputy Director equivalent. You are highly organised, proactive, meticulous, and possess a deep sense of the market, excellent communication skills and a love of the commercial publishing sector.
This role can be based at our London or Sheffield office with a blend of in‑office (3 days) and homeworking (2 days) per week.
