Our client in Maple is looking for a Level I or II Dental Assistant full-time. The ideal candidate is an enthusiastic team player who is dedicated to patient care. This office offers Health Benefits!

POSITION/JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Level I or II Dental Assistant
  • Must have a minimum of 2+ years of experience
  • MUST be able to communicate well

LOCATION: Jane/Major MacKenzie (Free Parking)

HOURS:

  • Mon 10-7, 1 a month 11-8
  • Tues 10-7
  • Wed & Thurs 9-5
  • Fri closed
  • Alternating Sat 8:30-2:30, None in the summer & closed long weekends
  • (Open end of Sept to Mid May)

COMPENSATION:

  • $28-$31+ depending on experience and performance

JOB OVERVIEW:

  • Assisting dentist during dental procedures, featuring handing instruments and other materials
  • Sterilizing instruments
  • Assisting dentist with restoration - crowns, bridges, porcelain veneers, fillings, extractions, root canals, implants, Invisalign, etc.
  • Placement and removal of rubber dams
  • Taking x-rays of patients' teeth and exposing dental diagnostic x-rays
  • Using suction and swabs to keep patients' mouths clear and dry during procedures
  • Taking preliminary impressions of teeth for study models
  • Applying pit and fissure sealants and topical anesthetics
  • Questioning patients about their medical history and recording the information for dentist's reference
  • Advising patients on dental care, oral hygiene, and plaque control programs
  • Making patients of all ages feel comfortable before, during, and after dental treatment
