Overview

BMO is currently sourcing for a Data Scientist & Campaign Analytics to support the Home Financing Product & Campaign Analytics team. This is a hybrid contract role in Toronto (2 days in the office per week).

Role

The Data Scientist & Campaign Analytics will consult on analytical solutions to help understand and synthesize data and business intelligence needs to facilitate informed business decisions. This role is critical for developing strategies and roadmaps related to data quality and analytics, ultimately driving better business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as a trusted advisor to assigned business groups, providing expert insights.
  • Lead the design, development, and implementation of analytic solutions.
  • Identify emerging issues and trends to inform decision-making processes.
  • Recommend and implement solutions based on thorough analysis of business issues.
  • Ensure alignment between stakeholders regarding business and data needs.
  • Design, implement, and manage new analytics and reporting solutions.
  • Create regular and ad-hoc reports and dashboards for data insights.
Must-Have Skills
  • 5+ years of relevant data analytics experience.
  • Proficiency in data preparation, analysis, and statistical toolsets including SQL, SAS (certified), R, Python, and PowerBI.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Relevant degree in statistics, data, or analytics preferred.
  • Advanced product knowledge within the home financing domain.
  • Deep technical proficiency in data-driven decision-making methodologies.
  • Expertise in measurement techniques, data mining, storytelling, and visualization.
Ideal Candidate
  • Previous experience in the home financing sector, especially with HELOCs and mortgages.
  • Familiarity with RESL analytics and applicable banking experience.
  • Experience in leading projects to completion successfully.
  • Ability to communicate complex data-driven insights to diverse audiences effectively.
